● Description
The Extron P/2 DA2xi MT is a one input, two output, high resolution VGA-QXGA distribution amplifier with stereo audio. Available in a compact and rugged metal enclosure, the P/2 DA2xi MT can be easily installed in small, tight places. It's even portable enough to fit into a briefcase for presenters on-the-go. The P/2 DA2xi MT offers 350 MHz (-3 dB) RGB video bandwidth and is compatible with VGA-UXGA graphic cards, monitors, and projectors. Adjustable gain and peaking are DIP switch-selectable.
The P/2 DA2xi MT features a 3.5 mm female stereo mini jack for audio input and a captive screw connector for balanced or unbalanced stereo audio output. It can be powered via pin 9 of a computer's VGA connector. Pin 9 effectively becomes a +5VDC power source, provided the computer has a graphic card that complies with the VESA DDC standard, version 3. Using the included external desktop power supply also enables the P/2 DA2xi MT to work with older computers.
Housed in a quarter rack width enclosure, the flexible P/2 DA2xi MT can be combined with a variety of mounting options to meet the requirements of virtually any application or environment. Utilizing an optional VersaTools® or Universal Rack Shelf Kit, the DA can be rack-mounted alone or with three other quarter rack width A/V products. Additional mounting kits are available so the P/2 DA2xi MT can be mounted under a desk or next to a projector. It includes its own under-desk mount as well.
● Features
- Bandwidth – 350 MHz (-3 dB) RGB video bandwidth ensures signal integrity.
- Compatibility – Accepts all modes/resolutions of VGA-QXGA cards for compatibility with VGA monitors and projectors.
- Active PC audio interfacing – Unbalanced computer-generated audio is input via a 3.5 mm stereo mini jack and output as balanced line level audio on a captive screw connector. Balanced audio eliminates noise usually associated with unbalanced audio when distributed over long cable runs.
- ID bits – ID bits are routed to a local monitor output.
- Gain and peaking switch – The P/2 DA2xi MT offers switchable gain and peaking via a selectable DIP switch to help maintain signal integrity over long distances.
- Switchable sync output impedance – Compatible with virtually any projector and cables.
- Power and source signal indicator – A small LED light on the front panel of the P/2 DA2xi MT designates whether or not it is receiving power and/or if it is receiving a signal from a source — both of which aid in troubleshooting.
- Input cable included – The P/2 DA2xi MT includes an Extron high performance detachable six-foot male-to-male VGA cable with audio.
- Powered by computer VGA port (pin 9) or using the included external international power supply (part# 70-055-01).
