The Extron TP R BNC AV RGB video receiver accepts long distance transmissions of analog RGB video with PC audio and NTSC, PAL, and SECAM composite video with stereo audio on any CAT 5, 5e, or 6 twisted pair cable or with Extron Enhanced Skew-Free¢â A/V UTP cable (patent pending).
The computer-video receiver of the TP R BNC AV handles signals with a 15-130 kHz horizontal scan rate, a 30-150 Hz vertical scan rate, and it is compatible with nearly every computer and video signal type, including VGA-UXGA, Mac, Sun¢ç, SGI, component, S-video, and composite. The composite video receiver handles NTSC, PAL, and SECAM video, as well as stereo audio signals. Special image enhancement features, such as automatic and manual level and peaking adjustments, give the TP R BNC AV the ability to compensate for cable length and to improve the brightness and sharpness of both the RGB video image and the composite video image. Separate H and V sync, composite sync, and sync-on-green outputs of the RGB video are DIP switch selectable. (Sync is passed through from the transmitter, not stripped by the receiver.)
When using data grade twisted pair cable for sending high-resolution video signals long distances, a problem called skew can cause a distortion in the image, resulting in visible color separation. Extron offers two options for solving this problem and restoring image quality. The first option is to place an SEQ 100 BNC Skew Equalizer at the receiving end of any cable run where skew is a problem. The second option is to use Extron's Skew-Free¢â A/V UTP cable to make system connections.
Optional mount kits allow the TP R BNC AV to be mounted on a rack, under, or through a desk surface. The through-desk mount keeps the power/signal LED visible while keeping the power and input/output connections out of sight. Inputs on shielded RJ-45 connectors
