The Extron TP R BNC A RGB receiver accepts long distance transmissions of analog RGB video with PC audio on any CAT 5, 5e, or 6 twisted pair cable or Extron Enhanced Skew-Free¢â A/V UTP cable (patent pending).

The TP R BNC A accepts signals with a 15-130 kHz horizontal scan rate and a 30-150 Hz vertical scan rate. It is compatible with nearly every computer and video signal type, including VGA-UXGA, Mac, Sun¢ç, SGI, composite, component, and S-video. Special image enhancement features, such as automatic and manual level and peaking adjustments, give the TP R BNC A the ability to improve the brightness and sharpness of the RGB video image. Separate H and V sync, composite sync, and sync-on-green outputs of the RGB video are DIP switch selectable. (Sync-on-green is passed through from the transmitter, and not stripped by the receiver.)

When using data grade twisted pair cable for sending high-resolution video signals long distances, a problem called skew can cause a distortion in the image, resulting in visible color separation. Extron offers two options for solving this problem and restoring image quality. The first option is to place an SEQ 100 BNC Skew Equalizer at the receiving end of any cable run where skew is a problem. The second option is to use Extron's Enhanced Skew-Free¢â A/V UTP cable to make system connections.

Optional mount kits allow the TP R BNC A receiver to be mounted on a rack shelf, under or through a desk surface, or near a projector. The through-desk mount keeps all controls accessible while keeping the power and input/output connections out of sight.
  • Input on a shielded RJ-45 connector
  • Automatic and manual level and peaking adjustments
  • Sync-on-green output (DIP switch selectable)
  • Two stereo audio outputs (balanced/unbalanced)
  • Rack, through-desk, under-desk, and projector-mountable
  • Rugged metal enclosure
  • External international power supply included (part number 70-057-01)
