The Extron TP T 15HD A computer-video and A/V transmitter accepts analog computer-video and PC audio and transmits the signals up to 1,000 feet (300 meters) over any CAT 5, 5e, or 6 twisted pair cable or Extron Enhanced Skew-Free?A/V UTP cable (patent pending).
The TP T 15HD A accepts computer-video input signals on a female 15-pin HD connector and transmits the video on a shielded female RJ-45 connector. The transmitter includes a buffered local monitor output on a female 15-pin HD connector. The TP T 15 HD A receives PC audio on a 3.5 mm stereo mini jack.
The TP T 15HD A accepts signals with a 15-130 kHz horizontal scan rate and a 30-150 Hz vertical scan rate. It is compatible with nearly every computer and video signal type, including VGA-UXGA, Mac, Sun? SGI, component, S-video, and composite. The TP T 15HD A features ID bit termination on pins 4 and 11 of its 15-pin HD computer video input, ensuring that computers requiring local monitors will operate correctly if no monitor is installed. Horizontal shift capability enables image centering.
When using data grade twisted pair cable for sending high-resolution video signals long distances, a problem called skew can cause a distortion in the image, resulting in visible color separation. Extron offers two options for solving this problem and restoring image quality. The first option is to place an SEQ 100 15HD Skew Equalizer at the receiving end of any cable run where skew is a problem. The second option is to use Extron's Enhanced Skew-Free?A/V UTP cable to make system connections.
Optional mount kits allow the TP T 15HD A interface transmitter to be mounted on a rack shelf, under, or through a desk surface. The through-desk mount keeps inputs and controls accessible while keeping the power and output connections out of sight.
