The Extron DVI 101 is a DVI equalizer that offers a convenient, economical solution for extending single link DVI - Digital Visual Interface signals beyond the specified 5 meter (15 foot) limitation with standard DVI cables. The DVI 101 attaches to the end of a long DVI cable run of up to 200 feet (60 meters). It automatically provides the necessary active equalization to ensure optimal image quality with HDTV signals up to 1080p/60 and high resolution computer-video signals up to 1920x1200. The DVI 101 is ideal for temporary applications as well as permanent installations with long DVI cable runs.
The DVI 101 passes EDID - Extended Display Identification Data information and supports the long distance transmission of HDTV signals with HDCP - High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection for copy protection of digital television broadcasts and high resolution digital video output from DTV tuners and DVRs, HD DVD, and Blu-ray Disc players. With the appropriate adapters from Extron, the DVI 101 is fully compatible with HDMI, a digital video, audio, and control standard for consumer A/V products.
At shorter distances, the DVI 101 can be self-powered by the source device via the DVI cable. An LED indicator provides a quick means of verifying power and signal presence from the source. Part of the VersaTools® line of small, economical, integrator-friendly products, the DVI 101 is housed in a compact 1" (2.5 cm) high, one-eighth rack width enclosure for easy placement and concealment.
